Faculty Development Academy (FDA) of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) Organized A One-Day Training Program Titled “Navigating Global Diplomatic Partnerships: Protocol and Best Practices”

The Faculty Development Academy (FDA) of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) organized a one-day training program titled “Navigating Global Diplomatic Partnerships: Protocol and Best Practices” for officials of the International Office, aimed at strengthening institutional capacity in international engagement and diplomatic coordination.

In-Charge FDA delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of international collaboration and the key role of the International Office in fostering academic partnerships and diplomatic engagement. The training session covered key aspects of international engagement, including effective coordination with embassies, development and management of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), student mobility and exchange programs, facilitation of international students, and adherence to diplomatic protocols. Participants gained practical insights into managing official communication, organising international summits, and ensuring professional handling of diplomatic interactions.

Ms Rabia Kasuri, Director (Europe-II), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Government of Pakistan, shared her expertise in diplomatic practices and international collaboration and highlighted potential areas of support from the Ministry. These included facilitation of global linkages, access to international platforms, and strengthening institutional outreach through diplomatic channels. The session concluded with a vote of thanks. The training is expected to significantly enhance CUI’s capacity in international collaboration, strengthen diplomatic coordination, and further reinforce its global outreach strategy.

Ms Rabia Kasuri called on the Rector, COMSATS University Islamabad, along with the In-Charge FDA. The meeting focused on avenues for enhancing CUI’s global outreach, strengthening institutional visibility, and fostering engagement with diplomatic missions and international partners.
