Advancing the Data Analytical Skills of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare

Alhamdulillah! The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization–Professional Development (ORIC-PD), COMSATS University Islamabad, in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy, CUI Lahore Campus, successfully concluded the 5-Week Hands-on Training Program: “Data Analytics I: Pharmaceutical & Clinical Data Processing and Simulation”, held from July 27 to August 28, 2026.

With 109 participants from diverse national and international organizations, including Zhengzhou University, China, the program brought together faculty members, researchers, pharmaceutical professionals, engineers, and students to develop practical skills in pharmaceutical and clinical data analytics, computational tools, data-driven simulation, and evidence-based decision-making for responding to the rapidly evolving needs of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

The Closing Ceremony, held on August 28, 2026, was graced by Dr. Zafar Mustafa Jajjah, Managing Director, McOLSON Research Laboratories, Lahore, as Chief Guest. Dr. Muhammad Yar, Director, CUI Lahore Campus; Dr. Yasser Shahzad, Head, Department of Pharmacy; Dr. Imran Haider Naqvi, Head Sub Office, ORIC CUI Lahore Campus; and Dr. Muhammad Ihtisham Umer, Resource Person, also attended the ceremony.

Dr. Zafar Mustafa Jajjah congratulated the participants and appreciated the efforts of ORIC-PD, CUI and CUI Lahore Campus for addressing the emerging skills needs of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. He highlighted the growing importance of data analytics, automation, computational intelligence, quality assurance, product development, and regulatory compliance in a rapidly transforming industry.
