Commonwealth PhD Scholarships 2027–28 in the UK Fully Funded
The Commonwealth PhD Scholarship supports talented candidates from eligible low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries to undertake full-time doctoral study at a UK university. Pakistan is among the eligible countries.

Eligibility for Pakistani Applicants:
According to HEC's published criteria, applicants generally need:
- Pakistani/AJ&K nationality and permanent residence
- A 17/18-year Master's/MS/MPhil degree in the relevant field with first division
- No second/third division in the terminal degree
- Minimum 60/100 HAT score
- A suitable PhD research proposal/project
- A supporting statement from a proposed UK supervisor
- Applicants must not already be registered for a PhD/MPhil leading to PhD before the relevant intake date.
How to Apply:
Pakistani applicants applying through HEC must complete both applications:
- Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) online application
- HEC online scholarship application
HEC specifically states that failure to submit the application on both portals means the application cannot be considered by HEC.
