CERN Summer Student Program 2026 in Switzerland (Fully Funded)

Description:

CERN is a European Organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. The applications are open to apply for the CERN Summer Student Program 2026, Switzerland. Candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply for the summer student program. CERN covers all expenses such as flight tickets, Stipend, Visa Support, Health Insurance, and Assistance to find accommodation. Students from CERN Member and non-member states can apply. The CERN Summer student program will run for 8 to 13 weeks. This program is open to students who are in their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

Course Level:                                 Summer Student Program

Grants:                                    A contract of 8-13 weeks to work on a technical project during the summer program in Geneva.

• A 92 CHF per calendar day (net of tax) subsistence allowance to cover the cost of accommodation and meals.
• A Travel allowance is paid at the end of your stay to help you with the cost of travel from your country to Geneva.
• Comprehensive Health Insurance.
• Assistance to find accommodation on the CERN site or nearby.

Eligibility criteria:         Applicants must be Bachelor’s or Master’s students (not PhD).

• They should be pursuing their degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a relevant field to be eligible for this summer internship by CERN.
• Applicants should have completed at least six semesters (3 academic years) of full-time studies at the university level by the start of the summer.
• Moreover, applicants must remain registered as students during their stay at CERN.
• Applicants must have not worked at CERN before for more than three months, and they have not been previously a Summer Student at CERN.
• Applicants must have a good knowledge of English; knowledge of French will be a plus point.
• Applicants of all nationalities are eligible for this fully funded CERN internship for international students.
