International Office, CUI Celebrates Iran National Day with Iran Embassy

The International Office of COMSATS University Islamabad attended the reception hosted by H.E. Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Islamabad to commemorate the 47th Anniversary of the Glorious Victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and Iran’s National Day. The reception was held at Serena Hotel, Islamabad, on February 11, 2026 and was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, government representatives, and distinguished guests from academia and various sectors.

COMSATS University Islamabad was represented by Ms. Muniba Nasir, Head, International Office, and Ms. Samira Shah, Senior Program Officer & In-Charge Iran Desk. During the event, the COMSATS delegation had the privilege of interacting with His Excellency the Ambassador and senior officials of the Embassy of Iran, including Mr. Karim Motahari, In-Charge Academic Affairs. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss avenues for further strengthening academic, scientific, and cultural collaboration between COMSATS University Islamabad and institutions in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On the occasion, Head IO formally invited His Excellency the Ambassador and Mr. Motahari to visit COMSATS University Islamabad in connection with the forthcoming exhibition showcasing the achievements and developmental progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past forty years. The exhibition is scheduled to be hosted at COMSATS University Islamabad in the coming days and is expected to serve as a platform for enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation in areas of science, technology, education, and innovation.
