CUI Hosts Delegation from Chad and Uganda under OIC-COMSTECH Framework
COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) welcomed a high-level delegation from the Republic of Chad and the Islamic University in Uganda on 12 February 2026 under the auspices of OIC-COMSTECH. The delegation was received by Ms. Muniba Nasir, Head International Office, along with her team. The visit commenced with a tour of the Junaid Zaidi Library, where the guests were apprised of the state-of-the-art academic, research, and digital facilities supporting learning and innovation at CUI. The delegation included H.E. Mr. Reounodji Frederic, Secretary General/Vice Minister, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chad; Prof. Dr. Abdul Kazaiba Mpaata, Vice Rector, Islamic University in Uganda; Mr. Murtaza Noor, Coordinator, Pakistan-Africa Education Forum, OIC-COMSTECH; and Mrs. Fatchima Hassane PARAISO, Program Assistant, OIC-COMSTECH.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sohail Asghar, In-charge Islamabad Campus, welcomed the delegation and emphasized CUI’s strong research culture and offered institutional support, including sharing expertise in ERP system implementation. Ms. Muniba Nasir, Head International Office, highlighted CUI’s international collaborations and scholarships offered at CUI for OIC and COMSATS member states. Ms. Samira Shah, In-charge OIC/ French Desk, proposed initiating online awareness sessions to facilitate student outreach. The visit concluded with an exchange of souvenirs and a shared commitment to enhanced academic cooperations.
