Mr. Muhammad Rashid Mukhtar led and mentored Pakistani students to an exceptional performance at one of the world’s most prestigious Information and Communication Technology (ICT) competitions over the years. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to ICT Teaching Competition, student mentorship, and talent development, Huawei honored him with the highly coveted Most Valuable Instructor (MVI) Award during the Global Final.

Adding to this historic achievement, Mr. Muhammad Rashid Mukhtar secured the Grand Prize, the highest distinction in the competition. Notably, this was the only Grand Prize won by Pakistan at the Huawei ICT Competition Global Final 2025–2026, bringing immense pride to the nation and further strengthening Pakistan’s presence on the international ICT stage.

The Most Valuable Instructor Award is among Huawei’s most prestigious recognitions for educators who demonstrate excellence in mentoring, innovation, and the development of future ICT professionals. This year, only 16 instructors worldwide received the award, including eight instructors from China and eight from the rest of the world. Mr. Muhammad Rashid Mukhtar was among this elite group of global educators.

The achievement is even more significant as Mr. Muhammad Rashid Mukhtar has become the only instructor from the Middle East and Central Asia region to receive the Most Valuable Instructor Award twice, having previously earned the distinction in 2024 and again in 2026. This rare accomplishment reflects his sustained commitment to academic excellence, industry collaboration, and the development of world-class ICT talent.

The Huawei ICT Competition is a flagship global initiative that attracts thousands of students and instructors from universities and ICT academies across the world. The competition provides participants with opportunities to demonstrate their technical expertise, innovation capabilities, and practical problem-solving skills while fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Expressing his gratitude on this occasion, Mr. Muhammad Rashid Mukhtar attributed the achievement to the blessings of Almighty Allah, the unwavering support of his family, and the collective efforts of his students, colleagues, and institutional partners.

“This achievement is a blessing from Almighty Allah and would not have been possible without the continuous support of my family, students, colleagues, and mentors. I am deeply grateful to Huawei, Huawei Pakistan, Huawei ICT Academy, and COMSATS University Islamabad for providing the opportunities and platform to compete with and learn from the best educators and students from around the world.”
