Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Asim Zafar of CUI Vehari Campus Among Pakistan’s Distinguished Researchers Honored by HEC

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan organized an award distribution ceremony to recognize Pakistani researchers featured in Stanford University’s Global Top 2% Scientists List 2025 and recipients of the National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) 2025–26 research grants.

Among the distinguished awardees, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Asim Zafar, Head of the Department of Mathematics at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Vehari Campus, was honored with the prestigious Top 2% Scientists Award 2025. The award was presented by Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Chairman of HEC Pakistan, in recognition of Dr. Zafar’s outstanding research contributions and global academic impact.
