| About | I am a dedicated clinical and translational researcher focused on advancing cancer screening, diagnosis, and prevention—especially in women's cancers. Through awareness programs and community engagement, I strive to improve early detection and health outcomes in resource-limited settings.
Currently, I serve as the Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, where I lead institutional accreditation and performance improvement initiatives. Concurrently, I hold roles as Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology and Principal Investigator on multiple clinical trials and research projects, including studies on COVID-19, cancer immunotherapy, and AI-based diagnostic systems.
My research bridges molecular biology, genomics, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on metastasis pathways such as SHH/GLI and Hippo, as well as biomarker development for p53 and HER-2. I have successfully secured and managed over $200,000 in research grants, contributing to more than 10 active projects aimed at improving precision medicine and healthcare equity.
A key area of my work is the integration of AI into medical diagnostics. I have contributed to the development of CADx systems for COVID-19 and peripheral arterial disease, and I am actively involved in filing intellectual property for AI-based surgical planning tools.
Beyond the lab, I am committed to mentorship and education. I have supervised more than 20 graduate and undergraduate students, and I regularly teach molecular pathogenesis to postgraduate clinicians, helping bridge the gap between research and clinical practice. I am also a certified master trainer for the STEM faculty development training program from King's College London in collaboration with the British Council and the National Academy of Higher Education, HEC.
My expertise spans:
Clinical trials management & regulatory compliance
Molecular diagnostics & CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing
AI-driven healthcare solutions
Grant writing, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis
Quality assurance & academic leadership
I am continuously inspired by the potential of technology and collaboration to transform patient care. My goal is to keep pushing the boundaries of medical research—through innovation, mentorship, and advocacy—to create meaningful impact in global health. |
