| About | I, Waqar Ahmed, completed my PhD in Materials Physics from the University of Malaya (QS World Ranking: 59), where I was honoured with both the Distinction and Excellence Awards. My core research involves the synthesis and development of single and hybrid nanomaterials (e.g., MOs, GO, MXenes, Biochar) and their corresponding single- and hybrid-nanofluids for energy and mass transfer applications. I engineer these advanced nanofluids to utilise them as a nanocoolant across a variety of energy applications, including energy/mass transfer via various heat exchanger shapes (Circular, Square, Annular, Separation flow, etc.) and energy storage. Over the years, I have authored 74 research papers published in renowned journals, like RSER, JTAC, IJHMT, ICHMT, Energies, Case Studies in Thermal Engineering, Journal of Molecular Liquids, Powder Technology, ECM, Applied Energy and Energy, garnering 3542 citations, with an h-index of 31 and an i-index of 46. In most of my publications, I serve as the first or corresponding author.
Also, I own one patent on a "Method of Producing Well Dispersed and Stable Nanofluid for Heat Transfer Applications".
I have gained 2 postdoctoral experiences under the Guangdong High Talent Program at Fudan University and the International Postdoctoral Program at Universiti Technology Malaysia (UTM). Throughout this journey, I have led and completed multiple projects with significant outcomes, including winning three grants outlined in my CV. |
