| About | Ms. Aasma Younas is a proud alumna of COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus (MS applied linguistics, 2025) and has publicly acknowledged her accomplishments on multiple social media platforms, specializing in computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, and NLP. She currently serves as a visiting lecturer at KFUEIT, Rahim Yar Khan, and as an assistant director at GHRCL, contributing to research development, academic collaboration, and interdisciplinary initiatives.
Her research focuses on corpus-based analysis, sentiment analysis, and critical discourse studies, with notable work on media discourse, migration narratives, and regional language resources. She has compiled corpora exceeding two million words and developed NLP tools, including a Punjabi translator and neural weaver. Ms. Younas has published peer-reviewed research, presented at international conferences (ICALL 2025, ICLAP 2025–2026), and completed a certified research internship at CRC Minhaj University Lahore.
Beyond research, she leads initiatives as Director of Research and Publications at ARPDF, mentors emerging scholars, and engages in academic outreach through online sessions, including her upcoming session on 25 April 2026 for the Research Learning Stream.
